Day 1: Arrive Phoenix - Scottsdale

Upon arrival in Phoenix, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Scottsdale. This evening, meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome reception with drinks and a light meal. (D) Overnight: The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa

Day 2: Scottsdale – Sedona - Grand Canyon

Head north to the bohemian town of Sedona, where you can browse the stores and galleries then take the drive through Oak Creek Canyon to Grand Canyon National Park, where you can enjoy an optional flightseeing tour by helicopter or plane. Join a Local Expert for a presentation about the wonders of the Grand Canyon, then enjoy the magnificent views of the South Rim during a Highlight Dinner. (BD) Overnight: National Park Lodges, Grand Canyon

Days 3 & 4: Grand Canyon - Monument Valley - Lake Powell

Visit the historic Cameron Trading Post, then travel through the Painted Desert and Navajo Indian Reservation as you travel to Monument Valley, where you will enjoy a guided tour. Later stop at the Glen Canyon Dam before checking-in to your lakefront resort. Tomorrow is free to do as you please, perhaps take a cruise through scenic Antelope Canyon with its dramatic steep, sandstone walls. (BD,B) Overnight: Lake

Powell Resorts & Marinas (2 nights)

Day 5: Lake Powell - Bryce Canyon

Head to Bryce Canyon in Southern Utah and enjoy a leisurely walk along Sunset

Point to view the odd-shaped monoliths known as hoodoos. (BD) Overnight: Bryce

Canyon National Park Lodge or Zion National Park Lodge

Day 6: Bryce Canyon - Zion National Park - Las Vegas

Travel to Zion National Park and board a private shuttle to experience the scenic highlights of the park. Enjoy free time to explore on your own before continuing to Las Vegas. (B) Overnight: The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Day 7: Las Vegas - Salt Lake City

Travel to Salt Lake City, the capital and most populous city in the State of Utah, and the headquarters of the Mormon faith. (B) Overnight: Hilton Salt Lake City Center

Day 8: Salt Lake City - Jackson - Grand Teton National Park

This morning join an orientation tour of Salt Lake City and see the famous Temple Square. Then travel north across the Oregon Trail to visit historic Jackson. Later continue to your lakeside lodge overlooking the stunning peaks and glaciers of Grand Teton National Park. (B) Overnight: Jackson Lake Lodge

Days 9 & 10: Jackson - Yellowstone National Park

Travel to Yellowstone via Jenny Lake, then join a Local Expert for an informative stroll through the Upper Geyser Basin. Tomorrow walk among the geysers and watch them erupt. There is plenty of time to see the colourful bubbling mudpots, free-roaming wildlife and Lower Yellowstone Falls. (BD,B) Overnight: National Park Lodges (2 nights)

Day 11: Yellowstone - Cody - Ucross

Travel to the Wild West town of Cody. Visit the Buffalo Bill Centre of the West, then head to your hotel in Clearmont in Wyoming. Ride horseback enjoying stunning scenery before enjoying a ranch style dinner. (BD) Overnight: The Ranch at Ucross

Day 12: Ucross - Spearfish

Morning at leisure, then head to Devil’s Tower, an astounding geologic feature that protrudes out of the rolling prairie surrounding the Black Hills. After, travel to Spearfish Canyon, a great spot for wildlife enthusiasts, where the breathtaking limestone palisades of this creek-carved gorge are more ancient than the Grand

Canyon. (BD) Overnight: Spearfish Canyon Lodge

Day 13: Spearfish Canyon

Cross the high plains to the Black Hills of South Dakota to Deadwood. With a Local Expert you’ll explore this once lawless town and hear about the days of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. Also meet Chief Bald Eagle who will share a living narrative of the Great Sioux Nation. Continue to Custer State Park, renowned for its beautiful landscape and abundant wildlife. (B) Overnight: The State Game Lodge, Custer State Park (2 nights)

Day 14: Mountain Monuments of the Black Hills of South Dakota

View the Crazy Horse Memorial, dedicated to all American Indians. Continue to Mount Rushmore. (BD)

Day 15: Estes - Denver

Tour ends today with a transfer to Denver International Airport. (B)
